KaChing KaChing Inc is moving toward changing the eCommerce landscape one person at a time with referral marketing and name brand products at everyday low prices.

The following is what John Jantsch had to say about Referral Marketing in a piece for American Express.

May 13, 2010 -

John Jantsch is a marketing and digital technology coach, award-winning social media publisher, and author of Duct Tape Marketing: The World’s Most Practical Small Business Marketing Guide and The Referral Engine: Teaching Your Business to Market Itself. He is the creator of the Duct Tape Marketing System and Duct Tape Marketing Coach Network that trains and licenses small business marketing coaches around the world. In this interview, we dig into the strategy and tactics of getting referrals.

Q: What’s the difference between a referral and a sales lead?

A: A sales lead is someone that has responded to a sales message or call to action while a referral is generally someone that’s been introduced to your message by a trusted friend or colleague.

Q: Why do people make referrals?

A: People make them for a variety of reasons, and it’s important to understand each motivation. They make them because they want to help their friend. They make them because they want to see the business they are referring make it – they like them. They make them to be seen as a “go to” person for resources and they make them to store up goodwill for when they might need one.

Q: Why do so few companies systematize referrals?

A: It feels counterintuitive to create a system for referrals, but I also think that it stems from the fact that people tend to think referrals happen accidentally or least in a way that they are not in control of. In my experience, they happen because a company is worth talking about, but they can happen more if you create a system that makes that act easier to do.

Q: What’s the best platform for referral marketing: website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn?

A: It’s some combination of all of those and a healthy dose of hugs and handshakes. Social media tools can greatly enhance the speed and which in person engagement happens. An active blog is a tremendous trust builder because it allows a referred source to find you when they search and then find plenty of information that they can use to sell themselves on your expertise.

Q: What place, if any, does monetary compensation play in referral marketing?

A: In a low dollar transaction business, it can help someone choose to refer your products. Most businesses that rely on referrals, however, are going to get a much higher quality referral if the person making the referral is motivated for social rather than financial reasons. Having said that, appreciation is one form of payment that must go hand in hand with your referral system and every once in a while buy a dinner and some flowers.

Q: How should you ask for a referral from your customers?

A: By setting the expectation in the lead conversion process. Introduce the idea of passing value to friends and colleagues before a prospect ever becomes a client. Let a prospect know you intend to create a remarkable result, create a remarkable result, communicate that value achieved and then help them understand the value in introducing your organization to others who need that same result

Q: How should one give a referral?

A: The first order is to build a network of “best of class” resources for everything your clients may need. Then actively seek opportunities to create exposure for those partners through content and community. Get involved in the process of giving and follow-up to make sure a good shared result was achieved.

Q: What are the elements of a good referral website page?

A: A website is a great tool to use to educate those who want to refer your business. Tell them how to spot your ideal client, tell them how to best explain what you do best in simple terms, tell them the kinds of things your ideal clients say that would indicate they need what you do, and finally, tell them your entire marketing process once they refer someone to your business.

Q: What if your product hasn’t launched yet—how do you tap referral marketing?

A: Start by researching and finding the business partners that could, either by reputation or referral, be a part of your dream team platform. Look for ways to interview them, ask them to guest blog, and teach you the best way to introduce their business to your growing network of prospects. This group will prove invaluable when you do launch.

Q: What do employees need to make referral marketing work?

A: They need to know it’s okay to deviate from the system when trying to create a great customer experience, they need be taught how to spot opportunities to get people talking about the business and they need to be rewarded for generating testimonials, success stories and referrals.

The e-commerce wars are heating-up and KaChing KaChing has the only model of it’s kind. KaChing KaChing Inc is a nationwide chain of online retail stores where you manage the business and promote sales of name brand products at everyday low prices.

The following is a reprint from Mashable:

LivingSocial’s traffic skyrocketed by 80% last week with a little help from Amazon, closing the gap between it and group-buying leader Groupon.

Before last week, LivingSocial had one-tenth of the web traffic of Groupon. Thanks to Google’s $6 billion offer and Groupon’s subsequent rejection of that offer, the deal-a-day service has been experiencing a new wave of growth. The second largest competitor in the space, LivingSocial, experienced an uptick in traffic as well, but nothing as dramatic as Groupon’s rise.

New data from Hitwise Intelligence shows that last week was a major inflection point for LivingSocial, though. It garnered 0.018% of all U.S. visits on the web, an 80% increase from 0.010%. Groupon, on the other hand, actually dropped by 20% to 0.035% market share of U.S. visits.

Why the sudden spike in traffic? The answer’s simple: Amazon. The e-commerce giant made a strategic investment of $175 million in LivingSocial last month to counteract a potential Google-Groupon combination. Last week, LivingSocial offered 50% off of Amazon.com, which resulted in more than 1 million Amazon vouchers sold. It was the biggest group-buying deal in history.

With a deal as good as 50% off Amazon, it’s no wonder traffic skyrocketed so fast. However, we bet that when this week’s data comes in, LivingSocial’s traffic will fall back to Earth. Still, the Amazon deal gave LivingSocial a lot of attention and helped it sign up new customers, which could help accelerate its growth and bring it within striking distance of Groupon.

Both companies are about to get some serious competition, though. Google is building its own group-buying service, Google Offers and Facebook is testing a group-buying prototype of its own.

KACHING KACHING, Inc. Announces Implementation of Phase II of Our Rollout Strategy to Create the Largest E-Commerce Chain on the Internet

New E-Commerce Concept is Increasing

Brand Name Merchandise Offering Over 2.5 Million Products

HENDERSON, Nev. (PR Web) June 15, 2010 –

KACHING KACHING, Inc. (www.kachingkaching.com) (OTC Bulletin Board: KCKC.OB). Announced today it’s Phase II rollout. The Phase I tactical pre-launch of KACHING KACHING’s emergence as the world’s largest online shopping community and retail chain is NOW SUCCESSFULLY completed. The firm has the ability to begin building its national footprint of Independent Store Owners (ISO). Each Independent Store Owner will be offering millions of items and thousands of name brand products at everyday low prices to millions of unaware, but awaiting customers across the nation. Already KACHING KACHING has established Independent Store Owners in nearly half of the States around the country.

Phase II will integrate KACHING KACHING’s tier 1 merchandise partners into its co-branded proprietary online storefronts, allowing KACHING KACHING to maximize the viral aspects of the Internet. As we roll out our retail chain of online stores, we will provide a totally new shopping experience for both Independent Store Owners and the mass market consumer. Think of a more enjoyable shopping experience for both you and your friends at say, Amazon.com with everyone receiving upwards of 10% of the purchase price back in commission. KACHING KACHING is destined to be a new category killer within the already prospering e-commerce segment, which last year alone grossed over $170 billion in online sales. KACHING KACHING’s product categories match those of today’s largest e-tailers. From popular athletic shoes to Lancôme skincare for men and women, to bed and bath accessories and electronics, we’ll have everything you’ll need to be on the cutting edge electronically, while being on trend and in style. With the popularity of the Internet, and its fluid development and technology, the world is changing rapidly. First there was Yahoo, and then came Google. There was MySpace and then Facebook. There was Blockbuster and then Netflix came on the scene. Today it’s Amazon, but tomorrow it will be KACHING KACHING! By utilizing the latest technology, tier 1 merchandise partners, and the most unique customer acquisition model ever introduced in the e-commerce business landscape, KACHING KACHINGâ’s growth may be unprecedented. To support its successful Independent Store Owners, KACHING KACHING will be providing each with an Apple iPhone 4, so that successful strategies can be shared immediately amongst each ISO using what is called FaceTime. FaceTime is an exclusive Apple technology that allows immediate face to face real time video, for training and sharing of the KACHING KACHING online business opportunity.
